How We Estimate Cost

The math behind every figure on your offer comparison, so you can check it yourself.

Full Port Financial is not a lender. Financing is provided by third-party funding partners.

Last updated September 30, 2026

Funding offers are written in very different ways: a factor rate, a fee, a daily or weekly payment. Full Port Financial puts every offer into the same plain terms so you can compare them. These figures are our estimates. The partner's own disclosure and contract govern, and in some states the partner must give you its disclosure first.

The figures

  • You receive: the amount funded, minus any fees taken out of it.
  • You repay in total: the total payback in the offer.
  • Total cost: what you repay minus what you receive.
  • Cost per $1: total cost divided by what you receive.
  • Cash out each week: the payment times the number of payments in a week (5 for payments every business day), and its share of your average monthly sales from your statements.
  • Paid back in: the number of payments at the scheduled amount, converted to months.

Our estimated APR

Our estimated APR is the yearly rate at which the scheduled payments are worth exactly what you receive. In finance terms, it is the internal rate of return of the payment schedule against the amount you receive, per payment period, multiplied by the number of payments in a year. We count 252 business days in a year for daily payments, 52 for weekly, 26 for every two weeks and 12 for monthly. The last payment may be smaller, so the total matches the payback exactly.

We assume every payment is made on schedule. A merchant cash advance is not a loan: its payments can change with your sales, so the real time to pay it back, and so the real yearly rate, can be different. That is why we call it an estimate and why the partner's own disclosure governs.

What we never do

  • We never call an offer "recommended." Labels such as "Lowest cost" state a fact.
  • Comparing is free and never commits you to anything. You never have to take an offer.
  • You never pay Full Port Financial. A partner may pay us if your business is funded, and we show how.
